Palpable Fear In Saki Town As Hospital Owner, 4 Others Die Mysteriously

There is palpable fear in Saki town in Oyo State following the death of five persons including the owner of an hospital.

The fear stemmed from the inability to ascertain the cause of their death, which remains mysterious to the residents around the area.

When Radio Nigeria visited the Clinic which is located at Oke Sunnah area, Saki, it was observed that the facility was under lock for engaging in some unethical practices which people around the area attested to.

The owner of the hospital whose is among the casualties was said to have treated a patient with a serious infection which cannot be ascertain as at time of filing in this report.

Some residents in a chat attested to the fact that some facilities in the town are not licensed and also engaging in quackery.

They called on the relevant authorities to arrest the situation to forestall spread of the infection.

Meanwhile it was learnt that officials of Oyo State ministry of Health has been contacted through Saki West Local government and are expected to visit the town any moment from now so as to ascertain the cause of the infection.

In the meantime, Saki Youth Organization called for calm amidst mysterious deaths at local hospital

The Saki Youth Organization urged residents of Saki West Local Government Area to remain calm as investigations continue into the cause of deaths at the hospital.

In a statement, the organization cautioned the public to avoid rumors, stressing that unverified information could lead to unnecessary panic.
