OYSCATECH Becomes ITF Accredited Centre To Train Artisans In Ibarapa (How To Apply)

Artisans in Igboora and Ibarapa Environs now have the opportunity of been trained and certificated at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology Igboora, (OYSCATECH).

This is because OYSCATECH has been officially designated as a premier training center in Igboora for the training of Artisans under the federal government and Industrial Training Fund (ITF) SUPA programme.

OYSCATECH has been accredited with seventeen trades to provide comprehensive industry compliant and certified training programmes, including health and safety programmes for various trades such as Carpentry, Masonry, Plumbing, Electrical and many more, in order to enhance employment opportunities for artisans in local and international markets.

Through this initiative, the institution is aimed at equipping the next generation with the skills, knowledge and confidence necessary to succeed in the workforce in order to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people in the community.

The Skill-UP Artisans (SUPA) is a transformative initiative by the Federal Government in collaboration with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).

The Skill-Up Artisan is created in order to provide gainful employment for the youths and serves a means for poverty eradication in Nigeria by supporting artisans and promoting industrial development through a strong workforce of skilled individuals.

The SUPA programme is equally aimed at aiding quality service delivery through the certification and licensing of artisans to promote the growth of small and medium-size enterprises.

The ITF revealed that the programme is targeted at empowering 10 million hard-working Nigerians in two years.

Information from ITF further revealed that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment towards promoting economic development and improving the standard of living of its citizens across all states.
