OYOWMA Chairman, Akanbi “Biiro,” Felicitates Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr • Calls For Residents’ Support For Waste Management
The Chairman of the Oyo State Waste Management Authority, Hon. Adeniyi Akanbi, popularly known as “Biiro,” has congratulated Muslim faithful in Oyo State and across Nigeria on the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

In a goodwill message released to journalists in Ibadan, Akanbi described Eid-el-Fitr as a significant occasion that symbolizes sacrifice, devotion, and gratitude to Almighty Allah following the completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

He urged Muslims to uphold the virtues of discipline, compassion, and generosity imbibed during the fasting period, stressing the importance of peaceful coexistence and unity among citizens.

Akanbi also called on residents of Oyo State to celebrate responsibly and maintain a clean and healthy environment during and after the festivities, emphasizing the role of proper waste disposal in safeguarding public health.
“As we celebrate this joyous occasion, I appeal to all residents to support the efforts of the Waste Management Authority by ensuring proper sanitation practices. Cleanliness remains a collective responsibility,” he stated.
The chairman reaffirmed the commitment of the agency to maintaining environmental cleanliness across the state, noting that measures have been put in place to ensure efficient waste collection and disposal throughout the festive period.
He further wished all Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration, filled with happiness, blessings, and renewed hope for a prosperous future.
The Chairman urged people in the state to cooperate with OYOWMA at ensuring the state is clean, assuring people that the authority officials will be on the road during the festivity to ensure clean environment
