The Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt (Hon) Adebo Edward Ogundoyin on Tuesday 27 May, 2025 received Distinguished Personality Award from the Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate.
Rt (Hon) Adebo Ogundoyin is an eloquent, consummate, compassionate, intelligent Eruwa- born politician who believes that education is only key to success had been contributing to educational standard not only in Ibarapa East Constituency but Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
While receiving the award on behalf of the Speaker, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Owolabi Arogundade thanked the organisers of the programme for deeming it fit to present Distinguished Personality Award to Rt (Hon) Adebo Edward Ogundoyin.
Hon. Arogundade described Rt (Hon) Ogundoyin as a politician who believes so much in education, adding that Hon. Ogundoyin would continue to support Oyo State College of Education,Lanlate in all its educational programmes.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries who lauded Ogundoyin’s significant contributions to the educational sector.
His efforts in championing the autonomy of the College of Education, Lanlate, have been pivotal in enhancing the institution’s capacity to deliver quality education. Under his leadership, the Oyo State House of Assembly passed the College of Education, Lanlate, Oyo State (Amendment) Bill, 2020, granting the institution full autonomy and enabling it to independently manage its programs and curriculum.
The Distinguished Personality Award from the Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate, adds to a series of accolades received by Speaker Ogundoyin.
