Oyo Reps Member, “Agboworin” Puts Smile On Faces Of People With Disabilities • We’ll Continue To Support Him – PDP
Member representing Ibadan Northeast/Southeast federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin has economically empowered fifty five Persons With Disabilities, PWD in Oyo state, through the National Directorate of Employment, NDE
At the epoc making event held at the newly commissioned local government building, Oyo state Secretariat, Ibadan, each beneficiary went home with a deep freezer, thirty thousand naira business support and an additional transportation fare.
Newsarena.ng reports that Some of party stakeholders at the event showered encomium on the People’s Democratic party, PDP lawmaker for his forward thinking and impact driven ideas.
Addressing the visibly happy beneficiaries shortly before the symbolic presentation of the items, Oyo state PDP Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke described Hon Abass Agboworin as a performing lawmaker.

Alhaji Adeleke who admonished the lawmaker to continue and intensify his people Oriented programmes expressing believe that God will reward his deeds, explained that the party in the state will continue to support his good representation.
Others who spoke at the event, including Ekiti state PDP caretaker chairman, Dare Adeleke, Director General, Oyo state agency for people living with disabilities, Barrister Dare Adekanmbi, Oyo assembly lawmaker representing Ibadan Southeast constituency 2, Hon. Yinka Omikunle and others said Hon Adigun Agboworin is an all inclusive lawmaker known for his massive empowerment programmes in the past.
Speaking with journalists, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin said the purpose of the initiative was to provide a means of livelihood for the physically challenged persons especially at a time when Nigeria is facing serious economic issues.
Hon. Agboworin who said the programme for the Persons With Disabilities was the first phase, promised to replicate same gesture in 2025.
Commending the lawmaker’s kind gesture, the Director of the NDE in Oyo State, Mrs. Steve-Ogundipe Olayinka, commended Agboworin for his dedication to humanity and urged beneficiaries to make good use of the empowerment items.
While describing Agboworin as a selfless leader, Mrs. Steve-Ogundipe Olayinka encouraged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the gesture.
Two of the beneficiaries, Mojeed Olubode and Oba Aro, expressed profound gratitude, noting that Hon. Agboworin is the only House of Representatives member in recent times to organize such an empowerment initiative for persons living with disabilities.
