Oyo: Prison Fellowship Of Nig. Promise Path Initiative Concludes 3-day Holiday Camp For Inmates’ Children
The Prisons Fellowship of Nigeria, Oyo state chapter has concluded its three-day back-to-school and summer holiday camping for children of inmates servicing jail terms at different correctional centres across the state.
The programme with the theme “An Excellent Spirit” under the Promise Path initiative of the fellowship, camped the children at JDPC St Patrick’s Catholic Church premises, Basorun, Ibadan.

Speaking on the purpose of the programme, Promise Path national coordinator, Mrs Tosin Olugbade explained that the programme is one of Prisons Fellowship of Nigeria’s initiatives aimed at providing psychosocial support to the inmates’ children and making them a better citizen.

Mrs. Olugbade said the children were discipled and equipped with necessary skills and knowledge that would help them excel in whatever they do in life.
She said the children were provided with accommodation, feeding, training in craft and offered them different games, with the assistance of mentors and volunteers.
She expressed hope that the children would make their families and society proud with the level of mentorship they have enjoyed at the three days summer holiday camp.
Also speaking, the Oyo state chairman, Prisons Fellowship of Nigeria, Reverend Boyede Sule commended the achievements recorded in the 2025 edition of the Promise Path Program, describing the program as impactful and interactive
Reverend said the mentorship during the exercise is expected to yield positive result.
The 2025 Promise Path program featured games, gifts, songs as well as question and answer session.
