For the development of education in Oyo state and Nigeria in general, alumni students must continually give back to their alma mata.
Ibadan Northwest house of assembly candidate under the platform of the Peoples democratic Party, PDP in Oyo state, Alhaji Dawood Olalere gave the advise while donating note books to pupils of Chief Agbaje memorial primary school, Ayeye, Ibadan.
The donation was in commemoration of his birthday, being celebrated on the 26th of January every year.
Alhaji Olalere believed the gesture which has become a yearly affair, was always an opportunity to give back to the society and to thank God for His grace to witness another year.
Alhaji Olalere who promised to always folllow up developments in the school for further assistance said he has facilitated construction of four classrooms for the school.,
“My coming to this place is not to come and campaign, today is my birthday, and I always use this day to give back to the society, during my 2022 birthday, I celebrated it by going to school for the deaf, Onireke, to celebrate with them.” He explained
Also speaking, education Secretary, Ibadan Northwest Local government, Mr Ayoade Kehinde appealed to the pupil to use the materials judiciously and reciprocate Alhaji Olalere’s gesture.
Responding, head teacher, Chief Agbaje memorial primary school, Ayeye, Ibadan, Mrs Adenike Kolawole who appreciated the gesture said the writing materials would go a long way at aiding teaching and learning.
