The Investiture of Professor Olusola Babatunde Kehinde as the 7th Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta FUNAAB Ogun state has been held with pomp and ceremony.
The event which took place at the Olufemi Balogun hall attracted Academics, Royal fathers, former Vice Chancellors of the Institution and eminent personalities.
Professor Kehinde was the Oyo state Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Collation Returning officer at the February 25th 2023 presidential election in the state.
Addressing the gathering, the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Alhaji Umar Ahmed enjoined the new Vice Chancellor to place FUNAAB in the class of high ranking universities not only in Africa but in the world.
In his Inauguration address, Professor Babatunde Kehinde expressed his determination to build on the legacies of his predecessor Professor Kolawole Salako under whom he served as Deputy Vice Chancellor.
Earlier, immediate past Vice Chancellor of the Institution Professor Kolawole Salako announced that his greatest achievement was human capital development most especially putting women in leadership positions during his tenure.
The Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta FUNAAB was established on January 1st 1988 with Professor Niyi Adedipe as the Pioneer Vice Chancellor.
