Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan has fixed July 26 for hearing on the originating summons and interlocutory injunctions on a matter between the Oyo state deputy governor, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan and the state house of assembly on a case of impeachment.
Engineer Olaniyan had dragged the state house of Assembly to court over his impeachment processes and allegations of gross misconduct levelled against him
Presiding judge, Justice Ladiran Akintola after hearing counsels involved in the originating summons and interlocutory injunctions on the propriety of an impeachment proceedings rejected an application by the lawmaker representing Oorelope constituency, Lateef Adebunmi who sorted the consent of the court to be joined in the suit as the fourth co-defendant in the matter.
Also, the court earlier rejected the application for adjournment of the matter by the claimants counsel, Chief Fashanu.
