The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin has described the death of the Chief Caterer attached to his Lodge, Mrs Wahab Ifedayo Olatokunbo as painful.
The sad incident occured yesterday, Sunday 5th February,2023 in Ibadan following a brief illness.
The woman who was one of the children of the late legendary Yoruba theater icon, late Chief Duro Ladipo was aged 56.
The Speaker in a condolence message described late Mrs Wahab Ifedayo Olatokunbo as a jovial, versatile and easy-going person.
” Death of Madam Olatokunbo is really painful and shocking. She was a good person, and a professional caterer. It is unfortunate that she died few years to her retirement from the services of the Oyo State Government. She will be greatly missed by many of us.” Oyo Speaker said
Hon Adebo Ogundoyin who expressed his condolence to the management and staff of Oyo State House of Assembly, also commiserated with the leadership of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, PASAN Oyo Assembly chapter, on the loss.
While praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased, the Speaker equally beseeched God to be with the family Mrs Wahab Ifedayo Olatokunbo left behind.
” May the Lord give her family the fortitude to bear the great loss. ”
In the meantime, the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly has sent a delegation led by his Chief of Staff, Gabriel Olatundun and his confidential Secretary, Mrs, Olayiwola Ayobami to commiserate with the family of the late Chief Caterer.
The delegation was received by the husband of the deceased, Asiwaju Nureni Olalekan Wahab and her children.
Funeral service will hold for the deceased on Thursday 9th February, 2023 at Providence Baptist Church, Iyana Church, Ibadan.
