Oyo Assembly Lawmaker, Waheed Akintayo Boosts Oluyole PDP With ₦1 Million • Hails Makinde, Wasiu Adeleke

In a significant show of support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oluyole local government, Oyo State Assembly member representing Oluyole state constituency, Hon. Waheed Akintayo has donated ₦1 million to bolster the party’s activities and initiatives.

The donation was announced on Sunday when Hon Akintayo fondly called Ilumoka Presenter met with Oluyole PDP stakeholders, where he emphasized the need to appreciate party leaders, members and all constituents for their supports, encouragements and commitments to the party and the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.

Hon. Akintayo who eulogized the Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde for his giant strides in developmental projects in the state, described him as an architect of modern Oyo state and a unifier in politics and governance.

He explained that the governor has delivered on his campaign promises to the good people of Oyo state which has brought unprecedented achievements to the state.

While explaining that the PDP stakeholders meeting was to appreciate the doggedness of members to the development of the party in the council area, Hon. Akintayo praised the state’s PDP secretary, Alh Wasiu Adeleke whom he described as his benefactor.

He said Alhaji Adeleke is a dedicated and committed party man, who has worked tirelessly for the progress of the PDP in Oyo State.

He praised Alh Adeleke’s leadership qualities, saying that his contributions to the party have been invaluable.

Ilumoka also appreciated the party’s leadership at the state, under the chairmanship of Elder Dayo Ogungbenro; PDP at the local and ward levels, saying “Your dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the progress of our great party, PDP, and the betterment of Oyo state have been truly inspiring.

He said “This financial support is aimed at strengthening our party’s structure and enhancing our outreach efforts in the community. We must remain united and focused on our goals to bring positive change to Oluyole.”

The grassroots politician also used the opportunity of the meeting to review his recent health empowerment programme where he enrolled over five hundred constituents in the state health insurance, OYSHIA, to examine its impact on constituents.

The review however received massive commendation from party chieftains, members and supporters who hinted that the empowerment improved healthy living standard of residents, especially people who cannot afford standard heath care.

The radio presenter cum lawmaker however pledged his continued loyalty to the PDP, his constituency and the state in general, urging constituents to keep supporting and praying for the success of the present PDP administration in the state beyond 2027.

Some of the party leaders and supporters praised Akintayo’s gesture, noting that such contributions are vital for fostering development and ensuring effective representation in governance. .

They expressed optimism that the initiative will galvanize support and the party’s network in Oluyole, positioning the PDP favorably for future political contests.

Present at the stakeholders meeting were the executive Chairman Oluyole Local Government, engineer Akeem Olatunji, Secretary, Oluyole local Government, Comrade Tunde Adeniran

Others were PDP Chairman, Oluyole local Government, Alhaji Mukaila Adegbola, all local government PDP Excos, All 10 Wards Chairmen; former Member, Oyo State House of Assembly from Oluyole, Hon Luku Salau, Party Leaders, Ward Excos and other major stakeholders
