Oyo APM Swears In 33 LG Chairmen As Guber Candidate, Adekanmbi, Running Mate Charge Them On Synergy With Party Leaders (See List)

The governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Bimbo Adekanmbi, alongside his deputy, Open Salawu, on Tuesday attended the swearing-in ceremony of the party’s 33 newly elected local government chairmen across the state.

The event, which took place at Kotol Inn Hotel, Basorun, Oluwokekere, Ibadan, brought together party executives, leaders, stakeholders and members, followed the successful conduct of the party’s statewide local government congress held a few weeks ago, where chairmen were elected to pilot the affairs of the party at the grassroots level.

Addressing the newly sworn-in chairmen, Adekanmbi charged them to work closely with party leaders and members in their respective local government areas, stressing the need for unity, commitment and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He urged them to remain dedicated to strengthening the party’s structure across the state, assuring party executives and members that their commitment and sacrifices would be recognised and rewarded.

“Your role is very important in taking the party to the grassroots. I urge you to work with all leaders and members to ensure that APM achieves victory in the coming elections,” Adekanmbi said.
