Oyo APC Inaugurates Campaign Council As Folarin Berates Makinde’s Faulty Leadership Style
Oyo state governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Teslim Folarin says the inability of the present administration in the state to perform in key sectors was as a result of the governors lack of leadership
Senator Folarin made this known while speaking with newsmen after the inauguration of the APC Oyo state campaign council, held at the party’s secretariate, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
He said governor Makinde’s acceptance of flaws on security, environment and local government administration during an interview on a radio station in Ibadan was a confirmation of his faulty leadership style.
Folarin disclosed that APC would provide strong leadership from the Federal to the state
“We don’t have any personal issues against him, There is no serious commitment. Look at the issue of security for instance, he couldnt make any serious committment, Under the past adminkstration, APC administration, there was zero toletance to insecurity so we’re saying under our administration, there would be minus zero tolerance to insecurity ”
While reacting to statement attributed to the Oyo state deputy governor on the endorsement of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the presidential candidate, the Oyo APC guber flag bearer said the decision Was commendable noting that There was no doubt that APC has the best presidential candidate.
“There is no point in wasting INEC’s time, If PDP is voting for Asiwaju, which we pray they do, let’s have a meeting so we can advise INEC not waste resources here, just give the mandate to asiwaju and national assembly members” he said
He advised party faithful to remain committed, resolute and not to take their feet off the pedals until after the last hurdle is skipped, which is the second election.
The party earlier inaugurated a 3,333 member campaign council headed by Alhaji Isiaka Kolawole as Director General
The Director General of the Campaign council is a former executive assistant on economic and budget planning under the administration of Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, Alhaji Isiaka kolawole, while the spokesperson is a former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government and veteran journalist, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan.
In his acceptance speech, the Director General of the campaign council, Alhaji Kolawole said the party’s Governorship candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin would be the best thing to happen to Oyo State, if elected.
