Oruomeniowo: Grower of Talents, Example of Tolerance – Olawale Ogunbusola
Olawale Ogunbusola, Ibadan.
One of the broadcasting House founders in Ibadan, with an aura of emulation is Prince Dr. Babatunde Balogun, fondly called “Oruomeniowo.”
The media enigma, really suffered before becoming a global shining leader. From the early 2000’s, Babatunde Balogun Oruomeniowo has been nurtured into a future media shining leadership, though, this was never conscious to himself. He voluntarily apprenticed himself for media works at the feet of most influentially revered indigenous acebroadcaster, Alhaji Olalomi Amole.
He had that he willingly decided to join Alhaji Olalomi Amole, believably by good virtues, known with ace broadcaster and as well the respect broadcasters earn in the society, until now.
I remember, Alhaji Olalomi Amole, early 2025 in preparation for his 70th Birthday, described Dr. Babatunde Balogun, as a source of joy and promotion to him, even on apprenticeship.
” I am proud of ‘Tunde. His promotion is not surprising to me. He already showed us from his apprenticeship days. He was dedicated, committed, sober, humble and focused”, he said.
I can not lie, the Oruomeniowo Brand, did not catch much of my interest years back, until I drew closer to the voice in that “shell”.
Dr. Babatunde Balogun is a planter. A grower, and nurturer of talents. From his medium online days, he remained committed to growing talents, beyond the media space.
Some of those who had grown from his school are scattered all over the place. A lion bears a cub. Some of his grown talents, are highly competitive in the media world. Let me list some of them for confirmation- You have heard Rotimi Adviser, Fatai Adewale, Hon. Dr. Musa Olalekan Kolawole, who is ready to serve the people of Ibadan North East State Constituency II in the forthcoming general elections, to mention but few.
Dr. Babatunde Balogun, is an alumnus of the Lead City University, Ibadan, as he finished from the department of Law, with a very sellable Cumulative Grade Point.
At the moment, he is still studying Law in Master’s degree, same at his alma mata.
He is an intraverted personality. Melancholic. Merciful. Philantropic. A Grower. A Supporter. An Easy Adjuster. A good defender. A good listener. A peace broker. A forgiving personality. An Emulator. A Tolerating Personality. A true leader, with a very few weakness. No one is humanly perfect. His strengths swallow any identifiable weaknesses. To me, his anger, dies soon. Omo Ale ni kii binu. If you do not outgo your boundary, you have now issue with Dr. Babatunde Balogun.
The broadcasting house of Dr. Balogun, since 2023, has grown fame, recognition and respect, that long existing mediums, check at its back against overtake by Prince 89.7FM Ibadan.
As Dr. Balogun, homely treats his workers, he does to the less privileged, widows, children and vulnerable. He does not want to see anyone, serious minded, unnecessarily suffer. He goes outside the box to bring succour, and smiles to the affected.
He grows in humility, respect and wealth everyday. A mysterious personality!
He is a grandfather of our time. More heights.
