Ooni of Ife Visits Oba Ladoja Ahead Of Coronation
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Eniitan Ogunwusi has called for peace and Unity among the traditional rulers in Yorubaland in the interest of more development and oneness
Oba Ogunwusi made the call when he paid a historic visit to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Ooni of Ife who was full of joy for the nomination of Oba Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland said, there should be collaboration among all the Kings in Yorubaland, hence the need to visit Olubadan-designate as an accomplished Monarch with vast experience on how to unite the Yoruba race.
The First Class Monarch maintained that, development of Ibadanland would be paramount in the heart of Oba Ladoja, having served as a Senator and Governor of Oyo State.
Responding, the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja commended Ooni Ogunwusi for the visit, saying, he would work with him to unite the Yoruba race.
Oba Ladoja who was also excited to receive the Ooni of Ife added that, Ibadan is ready for investors to establish projects that would be beneficial to the Indigenes and the residents in an atmosphere of peace.
In attendance to welcome the Ooni of Ifè, Oba Ogunwusi included, Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, Osi Olubadan-designate, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi.
Others were Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Dotun Sanusi, Gbonnka of Ibadanland, Oloye Taofeek Adegboyega, Mogajis led by their President, Mogaji Asimiyu Ariori.
Radio Nigeria reports that, activities lined up for Coronation of Oba Rashidi Ladoja will commence today with Interdenominational Service at the Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo, Ibadan, while the Coronation which is expected to be attended by President Bola Tinubu at Mapo Hall, Ibadan will take on Friday, 26th September, 2025.
