The Governing Council of Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, has announced the appointment of Professor Oyesoji Aremu as the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic.
Professor Aremu is of the Department of Counselling and Human Development Studies, University of Ibadan.
He is a popular security scholar and analyst, who has held many academic leadership roles.
He won the prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship as a Lecturer Grade I between 2007 and 2008 and was a visiting Commonwealth Fellow at the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies, University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom. He is a fellow of many professional associations and bodies in Nigeria and abroad.
Professor Aremu was the acting Director, Centre for Open Distance and eLearning, Osun State University.
He is a Member, University of Ilesa Review Committee, March to May, 2023, Chairman, Osun State Education Summit, July to September, 2023; and former Director, Distance Learning Centre, UI.
He was also a Visiting Professor, Open, Distance and eLearning, Osun State University, Osogbo.
