Ondo 2024: Give Me Two Years, I’ll Fix Ondo Electricity Problems – Gov’ship Aspirant, Akinnodi
Governorship aspirant in the November 16th, 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo State, under the platform of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, Hon. Emmanuel Akinnodi says he would fix electricity supply problems in the state within two years if elected.
Honourable Akinnodi stated this while addressing journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
The ADP Governorship aspirant, who gave assurance that electricity supply problems would be a thing of the past if given the mandate, said he has identified poor power supply as a major challenge confronting the people.
He said “Majority of our people complain about electricity, I have told them, give me two years, I’ll fix Ondo State electricity problems, and that’s the real truth. Give me two years, there won’t be anything like power outage, no no. If there is no light, there is no life. We are ready to work.
The real estate expert disclosed that his administration would give priority to empowering the state Western Security Network codenamed Amotekun with needed resources, promising to ensure the outfit is extended to all the eighteen local government of the state.
He promised a Modern Ondo State saying ” we need a modern Ondo State, we need a well structured Ondo State that when people come in, they would say this is a new Dubai. And yes, I’m able to turn Ondo State to a new Dubai.”
“We will tap into natural resources of the state, to bring economic turnaround to the people. We have bitumen, second largest bitumen in the world, marble, best quality in terms of gold, people should not suffer, we will bring in investors using the youths to drive socio economic development in the state”
He said his plan was to decongest Lagos State by encouraging more investors in Ondo state through economic transformation.
“The youth must take over what belongs to them by engaging in politics and supporting their own. Youth can’t stay away from politics and expect the Change they desire to happen.
“Ondo people are ready to change the narrative, electorates are tired of the old way of administration.
“People are tired, and that gives me more advantage, yes, the people are agitating for a better life, fresh life, a new beginning. I’ve brought a new message for them and the new message is me.
“Majority of our governors benefitted from free education, where is the free education now, the education is not meant for the poor again, these are the things we want to change. Free healthcare, zero to fifteen, free delivery, free education.
“We will bring student loan, women empowerment” He said
