The Chairman of Olorunsogo Local Government Area, Hon. Qozeem Olayanju, has commended Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for the acquisition of a surveillance aircraft aimed at strengthening security across the state.
Olayanju described the governor’s decision as a strategic investment that would significantly enhance intelligence gathering, crime prevention, and emergency response, particularly in communities vulnerable to security challenges.

The council chairman also expressed appreciation to Governor Makinde for approving Igbeti as the location where the surveillance aircraft will be sited. According to him, the development is a major milestone for Olorunsogo Local Government and the Oke-Ogun region, reflecting the governor’s commitment to equitable development and the safety of residents.

He noted that the presence of the aircraft in Igbeti would improve security surveillance, boost public confidence, and create an enabling environment for economic activities and investment in the area.
Olayanju urged residents to continue supporting the Makinde administration’s efforts to ensure lasting peace and security across Oyo State. He reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to collaborating with security agencies to maximize the benefits of the new surveillance initiative.
He further praised Governor Makinde’s leadership, describing the acquisition of the surveillance aircraft as another demonstration of his administration’s resolve to protect lives and property while advancing sustainable development across Oyo State.
