The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic party, SDP in Ogun state in the 2023 election, Engineer Tony Ojesina has stressed the need for more opportunities for youths in governance.
Engineer Ojesina made this known in Ibadan while speaking with newsmen after the presidential candidate of the party, Prince Adewole Adebayo commissioned SDP southwest campaign office.
The Ogun state SDP Governorship flag bearer was on the entourage of the party’s presidential candidate to Oyo State to commission the office.
Engineer Ojesina however gave assurances that a minimum of forty five percent of the youth would make the list of his cabinet, if elected.
“We will bring qualified youth into governance and mentor them so that they will be groomed to take higher leadership positions”
While berating the governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration on the poor state of roads in the state, engineer Ojesina said there must be proactive measures to tackle the incessant rate of potholes on the roads.
He said “You can minimize or eliminate the potholes by proper maintenance, by having many cruise, using government engineers going all over, checking and doing certain test before it becomes potholes”
“Each engineer must be assigned to certain places and must on a daily basis inform the supervisor to let him know you have been there. Responsive government do not wait until potholes happens” He added
