NUJ Inaugurates Oluwakayode Banjo Led FRCN, Ibadan Executives (PHOTOS)

Oluwakayode Banjo of Premier FM, FRCN, Ibadan has emerged as the chairman, Nigerian Union Of Journalist, FRCN Ibadan Chapel.

Mr Banjo was elected unopposed by members at studio one, FRCN, Ibadan Zonal Station.

Declaring Mr Banjo the winner, Chairman of the electoral committee, Mr Oluseye Arowolo said he had satisfied all the requirements of the election.

Other contestants who clinched their positions were Rasheedah Makinde who emerged as the vice chairman, Opeyemi Olugbenga as the secretary.

Others are financial secretary Mr Olalekan Olayiwola , assistant secretary Dayo Adu, Folashade Osigwe auditor, Mose Morenikeji emerged as the treasurer

Delivering his victory speech, the new chairman, Oluwakayode Banjo said this is a new dawn for members and developmental programmes would be executed soonest.

In a remark, Zonal Director FRCN Ibadan National Station, Mr Dominic Mokikan urged the new executives to work as a team with past executives to move the station forward.

Reacting, Deputy Director News And Current Affairs Department, Mr Adewumi Faniran said he would continue to guide the union with experience gathered as a unionists himself.

Deputy Director New Media Dr Olushola Agboola, and Deputy Director Program, Rev Niyi Dahunsi advised the newly inaugurated team to ensure the welfare of members of staff was their topmost priority.

Some NUJ members who spoke after the inauguration tasked the new executive members to hit the ground running

In separate goodwill messages, the chaiman NUJ Oyo State Chapter Mr Demola Babalola, appealed to the new executives to use their office to restored the lost glory of frcn, as it remained the the flagship of broadcasting.
