The Super Eagles of Nigeria’s home and away jerseys for 2024 have been formally unveiled by sportswear giant Nike.
A video posted on Nike’s Instagram page unveiled the Super Eagles’ uniforms, ending much anticipation and tension after leaked, widely circulated designs.
The Super Eagles will use white as their home uniform for the first time in three years, while Nigeria’s customary green shirt will be worn as the away uniform.
The initial excitement among Nigerian football supporters for a new jersey ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations event was crushed when the NFF issued a statement denying speculations of new jerseys.
The new home jersey has green-white-green tape on the sleeves and shorts, with a faded eagle design on the front.
The Super Eagles badge is notably missing from the shirt but appears on the shorts, while Nike’s logo is in red, which deviates from the standard Super Eagles color pattern.
