The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has felicitated with all citizens of Ido Local Government, Oyo State and Nigerians at large on the occasion of the 66th Independence Anniversary celebration of our dear nation.
In his Independence Day message , Hon. Adeojo described October 1st as a significant day that reminds us of the sacrifice, courage and unity of our founding fathers who fought for the freedom and sovereignty of Nigeria.

The Chairman said that despite the challenges facing the country, Nigeria has every reason to celebrate because of its resilient and industrious people, and the progress recorded in the last 66 years.

“On this special day, I, on behalf of the Vice chairman, legislative arm of the LG, the secretary to the LG, chief of staff and the entire management team of Ido Local Government, congratulate every son and daughter of Ido local government, from Wards 1-10, Oyo state and indeed all Nigerians. This is a day of hope and reflection. We must continue to believe in the greatness of our nation and work together for peace, unity and development,” he stated.
The Council boss assured residents of Ido that his administration remains committed to people-oriented governance, infrastructural development, empowerment of youths, women and widows, and the improvement of lives at the grassroots in line with the Omituntun 2.0 sustainable development agenda of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde.
He called on all residents to continue to live in peace, shun violence, and pray for the peace, security and progress of Oyo State and Nigeria.
He also prayed for continued unity, prosperity and greater achievements for the country.
