As the Christmas and New Year celebrations come to an end, passengers are gradually returning to their bases, as motor parks across Ibadan are now witnessing an influx of travellers.
Our correspondent, who monitored activities at various motor parks, reports that students as well as public and private sector workers who travelled to Ibadan for the festive period were seen with their luggage, ready to board vehicles to their destinations.

Motor parks visited at Apata, Challenge, and Dugbe axes showed that commercial motorists were busy loading passengers’ luggage in preparation for departure.

Speaking with Radio Nigeria, one of the drivers plying the Ibadan–Lagos route, Mr Kayode Sodunke explained that the development was expected, as people usually return to their various destinations after the holidays, with official and non-official activities resuming next Monday.
Some students who also spoke with Radio Nigeria said they decided to return to their institutions early in order to prepare ahead of their examinations scheduled for next week.
Radio Nigeria also observed that men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, were deployed to patrol gridlock-prone areas within the city to ensure the free flow of traffic.
