The newly appointed rector of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Prof. Akinola kehinde Akinlabi has appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for approving his appointment and that of three other Principal Officers of the institution.
Prof. Akinlabi who made this known, after receiving his appointment letter also commended the Governing Council of the institution and other stakeholders for their efforts towards their appointment.
In his words, “I want to thank the Executive Governor of the State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for taking the bold step in ensuring that this appointment letter comes out.”
According to him, “this appointment is a call to serve, I promise to use my time, thinking and talent to move the institution forward.
“I know that my emergence will be for love, peace and harmony. I can give you an assurance that there won’t be any regret that you appointed me but it is going to be a matter of thank God we appointed him, we should have done it earlier, because I am going to add value to our institution.”
Prof. Akinlabi solicited for the support of Staff, Students and the Host Community.
He promised to make regular consultations with traditional rulers and community leaders on how to move the institution forward.
He called for the support of Staff and Students while admonishing them to follow the rules and regulations guiding the institution.
“We are going to develop and increase infrastructure, academic programmes; if possible, by adding more while we plan to take care of Staff Students and the Host Community, he said.
