My Father Never Had Any Agreement With Makinde, Debunks Endorsement Rumor – Olamiju Alao-Akala

Federal House of Representatives Member-Elect, for Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala has denied the rumors making the rounds that his father, former governor of Oyo, Late Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala had political agreement with governor Makinde before his demise.

Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala in a statement said “My attention has been drawn to a misleading, and fallacious statement going the rounds on social media about my father’s stand and his purported endorsement of Engr Seyi Makinde.”

“I want to authoritatively dismiss the mischievous claims as the handiwork of fake news purveyors and peddlers of lies. Otunba Alao-Akala had a cordial relationship with the Governor on account of being one of his predecessors but that doesn’t and hasn’t spilled into politics”

“Instead, as the respected and revered leader of the Oyo APC before his demise, Otunba Alao-Akala always put the interest of his party first and was crystal clear about his support for Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin’s gubernatorial ambition. Indeed, Senator Teslim Folarin had the unflinching support and backing of my father as the right man to lead Oyo State into a prosperous and inclusive governance.”

“I hereby advise disgruntled PDP rumor peddlers to desist from using the esteemed name of our patriarch in making baseless claims capable of misleading the general public.”

“Rather than waste precious time and resources trying to curry undue endorsement, I urge PDP apologists to join the moving train of Oyo APC, which is Otunba Alao-Akala’s party, and our incoming Governor, Senator Teslim Folarin to move Oyo state forward”.
