A group of suspected thugs on Tuesday invaded and disrupted the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) election in Osun state.
The unfortunate invasion happened some minutes past six o’clock on Tuesday evening shortly after the ceremonial aspect of the programme tagged “Building People’s Power, National Unity and Quest for a new Social Contract” commenced.
The 13th State Delegate Conference was supposed to be an avenue to elect a new set of executives for the next four years, however, the exercise was curtailed by hoodlums who threatened the lives of delegates and chased them away from the venue of the programme.
Details later.
