Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has accepted to part the sum of twenty-five thousand naira (N25,000) as wage award for civil servants in the state.
Governor Makinde announced the promise during a solidarity rally by NLC and TUC members held at the State Secretariat, Governor’s Office, Ibadan on Monday.
The Governor also agreed to pay pensioners the sum of fifteen-thousand naira (N15,000).
Recall that the Governor had about four weeks ago inaugurated an 11-member ad-hoc inter-ministerial committee on the harmonisation of the demands of labour unions in the state.
