The Chief Imam of Eruwa land, Sheikh AbdulKareem Abdulsalam Olore is dead.
Sheik Olore died on Sunday, 20th July 2025 during a brief illness at the age of 84 years.

According to the deceased’s son, Alh. Akeem Ajibola Abdulsalam, the late Chief Imam will be buried tomorrow, 21st July, 2025 according to Islamic rite at his residence located at Alariya area, Sanngo, Eruwa

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa East Local Government of Oyo State, Hon. Kazeem Arogundade described the sudden death of Chief Imam of Eruwa, Sheikh AbdulKareem Abdulsalam Olore as colossal loss to Ibarapa, Oyo State and Nigeria.
In a statement issued by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the council chairman, Femi Ojedokun, Hon. Arogundade expressed profound sorrow over the passing, noting that the spiritual leader’s demise has left a void across the community and beyond.
He hailed Sheikh Olore’s unwavering devotion to service, describing him as a bridge-builder whose wisdom transcended religious lines and fostered unity among diverse groups.
“His commitment to peace, compassion, and guidance made him a beacon of hope,” the statement noted, adding that his counsel extended far beyond the mosque’s walls.
Hon. Arogundade, who is expected to join grieving families and dignitaries in Eruwa, called on residents and worshippers to honour the late Chief Imam’s memory.
He urged collective prayers and reflection, emphasizing that the best tribute to Sheikh Olore would be the continuation of the values he lived by.
The Chief Imam was widely respected for his integrity and spiritual leadership.
The chairman announced that his office will coordinate with the mosque authorities to support funeral arrangements and ensure adequate security, reflecting the deep impact of the late cleric’s loss.
Recall that Sheikh Olore was on June 12, 2025 confirmed as the Eruwa Chief Imam after amicable resolution facilitated by respected elders of Eruwa land following years of leadership tussle of who rightfully holds the title of Eruwa Chief Imam between Sheikh Olore and Alhaji Mudathir Adetunji Yusuf Adedeji.
Newsarena.ng reported that as Sheikh Olore was confirmed the official holder of the position was Alhaji Adedeji was turbaned the new Naaibul Imam of Eruwa.
