Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, commonly known as Evans, and his co-defendant Victor Aduba received a 21-year prison sentence from Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Special Offenses Court on Monday for the kidnapping of Sylvanus Hafia.
They were accused of plotting to abduct Sylvanus Ahanonu Hafia on June 23, 2014, at around 5:30 p.m., in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos, and holding him captive while demanding a $2 million ransom.
However, they denied all four of the accusations.
The judge concluded that the penalty would dissuade other would-be kidnappers.
