Guinea Bissau stunned Nigeria in the first leg of their African cup of Nations, AFCON Qualifiers with a 1-0 victory.
The Abuja National Stadium was silenced in the 30th minute when Mama Balde superbly brought down a long through pass before slotting the ball past Super Eagles Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho to give Guinea Bissau a shocking lead.
The Super Eagles kept pushing for a equalizer but could not find any as the game 1-0 in the favour of Guinea Bissau.
With the result, Guinea Bissau overtook Nigeria and now sits top of Group A with 7 points, while Nigeria remain on 6 points and dropped to second place.
The second leg will be played on Monday at the Estádio 24 de Setembro in Guinea Bissau.
