JCI Ibadan Elite, Izili Nigeria Boost Education Infrastructure Through Sustainable Solutions
JCI Ibadan Elite, in collaboration with Izili Nigeria, successfully hosted the Adopt a School Project at Oba Abass Aleshinloye Grammar School, Benjamin Bus Stop, Eleyele, Ibadan.
The impactful initiative brought together community leaders, students, stakeholders, and development partners in a shared commitment to empowering education through sustainable solutions.
The event, themed “Lighting the Future; Empowering Schools Through Sustainable Solutions,” marked the commissioning of a solar-powered lighting system donated to the school by Izili Nigeria in partnership with JCI Ibadan Elite.
The project is aimed at improving the learning environment for students and promoting clean, sustainable energy within educational institutions.
The event featured the presence of the Chief Executive Officer of Izili Nigeria, Mr. Kolawole Oguntuase, whose support and commitment to community development played a key role in the success of the project.
Also in attendance was the Chairman, Ibadan North, represented by Hon. Sobowale Sarah, the Secretary of the Local Government, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between private organizations, civic bodies, and government institutions in driving positive social impact.
One of the major highlights of the event was an engaging oratory competition organized for the students.
The competition provided students with an opportunity to showcase their intelligence, confidence, and public speaking abilities while encouraging healthy intellectual engagement among young minds.
The event recorded an impressive turnout, with over 150 attendees present, including students, teachers, dignitaries, and members of JCI Ibadan Elite.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement, inspiration, and a renewed sense of hope for the future of education and youth empowerment.
Speaking during the event, the President of JCI Ibadan Elite, JCIN Amb. Ibukun Otesile, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to creating sustainable impact within communities through projects that address real societal needs. She noted that the partnership with Izili Nigeria reflects a shared vision of building brighter futures and supporting educational advancement through innovative and sustainable initiatives.
