I’m Fatherless, I was Hopeless, You Offered Me Scholarship – UI Student Appreciates HOSEC Foundation
Rominiyi Omotola, one of the beneficiaries of an education initiative under Hope For Second Chance Foundation, HOSEC, tagged “Education for all: 14th For 14” has expressed appreciation to the foundation for the opportunity offered for her to further her educational pursuit.
Miss Omotola and five others who got admission into different universities, were beneficiaries of free WAEC enrollment and scholarship programme under the 2nd edition of HOSEC foundation Education For All: 14th for 14 initiative in 2023.
The “Education For All: 14th for 14” gesture is an initiative by the Executive Director of the foundation, Mrs Ibukunoluwa Otesile to impact on lives and offer scholarship to 14 students yearly, in celebration of her birthday being celebrated every 14th February.
Miss Omotola who had lost her father prior to WAEC enrollment in 2023, appreciated the foundation, the board members and executive director for giving hope to her dreams.
She said “I’m Rominiyi Omotola. I graduated from Queens school Ibadan last year and I was one of the three beneficiaries whom you sponsored for the Waec.
“Unfortunately, I’m fatherless and that time, I was really hopeless because the deadline for Waec payment was fast approaching.
“You came and offered me the scholarship….Even in decades to come ma, I’ll forever be grateful for making it possible for me to write the final exams with my mates.
“Thank you so much ma
“Also, I just got admission to the University of Ibadan. Been wanting to tell you that, not until I came across your page on Facebook. God bless you ma🙏
In the meantime, another fourteen students benefitted from the 2024 February edition of the initiative.
Reacting, Executive Director, HOSEC Foundation, Mrs Ibukunoluwa Otesile while appreciating the supports garnered so far from sponsors said the gesture was borne out of her desire to help the less privileged but brilliant students in their educational pursuits
