Ibadan North By-Election: Oyo APC Peace Advocates Insists On Transparent, Free, Fair Process Of Selecting APC Candidate
Oyo APC Peace Advocates has insisted on a transparent, free and fair process of selecting the candidate of the APC for the by election in Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
In a statement jointly signed by its co-conveners, Chief Wale Ohu, Prince Niran Adeyoju SDM and supported by all of its members, Rt. Hon. Dr. Akin Onigbinde SAN, Prince Gbade Lana, Hon Dr. (Mrs) Peju Esan, Hon Amzat Ogunsola, Alhaji Raji Rasaki, Engr. Wale Adeoye, Alhaji Adebayo Aruna and Hon. Afeez Bolaji Repete, the Peace Advocates said that only a credible, free and fair exercise will guarantee the success of the APC in the by election.
The Group said that it had embarked on peace initiatives across the zones of Oyo state, engaging stakeholders on the need to embrace peace and unity of purpose and that while the generalities of Party Leaders , critical stakeholders, and officers embraced the messages of peace, they also insisted on the need for credible, transparent, free and fair processes of selecting candidates and party officials.
A position that the Peace Advocates embraced, which has become very popular amongst Oyo APC and which Party members are not willing to compromise.
The Group appreciates the efforts and dedication of Oyo state Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Olayide Moshood Abass and the Oyo state Executives of the APC towards moulding a more vibrant and united Party.
The Peace Advocates attests to the fact that they have been receiving tremendous support from the state Chairman in their mission of renewing hope through peace and harmony within Oyo APC.
The Group equally thanks all the Elders, Leaders and critical Stakeholders that they have met at different fora to brainstorm on how to navigate the Party towards a successful outing in 2027.
