Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has relieved the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Mrs Toyin Balogun, of her appointment and redeployed Alhaja Faosat Joke Sanni to take over the ministry with immediate effect.

The development was announced in a statement issued by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

According to the statement, the cabinet reshuffle also saw Sanni moved from the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperative back to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion.

Makinde thanked Balogun for her services and contributions to the development of Oyo State during her tenure, wishing her success in her future endeavours.
Sanni is no stranger to the ministry, having previously served as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion between 2019 and 2023. She was later redeployed to the Ministry of Special Duties in 2023 before her recent posting to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperative.
The governor has commanded that the latest redeployment takes immediate effect.
