The recruitment of 800 employees for the state civil service has been approved by Engineer Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State.
In an interview with the State broadcasting station, BCOS, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe, the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, revealed the development.
Alhaji Aderibigbe pointed out that the initiative was a means of lowering unemployment in the state and that the commission will shortly release the recruitment method.
Alhaji Aderibigbe stated that no prior administration has a record as good as the current one, while underlining the Governor Makinde-led administration’s commitments to actively engaging the populace.
He stressed that the government did not wait till the tail end of the administration before the recruitment exercise like others would do, adding that it takes a rare magnanimity to employ workers at a time the wages are being reviewed upward.
