Ekiti 2022: PDP Guber Candidate, Kolawole, Explains Why He Conceded Defeat

The Peoples’ Democratic party Governorship Candidate in the just concluded election in Ekiti State, Otunba Bisi Kolawole has congratulated the Governor Elect, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his victory.

Recall that Mr Abayomi polled 187, 057 votes to beat other 15 Candidates.

Speaking at his country home in Efon Alaaye, Otunba Kolawole said he took the decision to concede defeat and congratulate the governor elect in the interest of peace.

The PDP governorship Candidate noted that only God enthrone, hence he was not despirate to govern the state.

In the meantime, The Governorship candidate of the Social Dmocratic Party SDP, Chief Segun Oni has described as unacceptable the outcome and result of the exercise.

Chief Oni said this at his residence on Ifaki Ekiti while reacting to the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

Chief Segun Oni alleged that the exercise was characterised by inducement of voters and ballot snatching.

He described the outcome of the poll as unacceptable, noting that the process would be studied before taking further step and appealed to his supporters and loyalists to remain calm.
