Eid el Kabir: OYOWMA Chairman, Akanbi ‘Biro’ Congratulates Muslims, Hails Makinde’s Supports For Clean Environment
The Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Solid Waste Management Authority (OYOWMA), Hon. Waheed Adeniyi Akanbi (popularly known as Biro), has extended his warmest felicitations to the Muslim Ummah across Oyo State and Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid el-Kabir celebrations.

In a goodwill message released to the press, the OYOWMA boss urged Muslims to imbibe the core virtues of the season, which include absolute faith, obedience, sacrifice, and selfless service to humanity, as exemplified by the Prophet Ibrahim.

Hon. Akanbi emphasized that Eid el-Kabir provides a perfect opportunity for reflection and renewed dedication to the growth and progress of Oyo State.

He commended the peaceful coexistence among various religious groups in the state and lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for creating an inclusive environment that fosters unity and sustainable development.

While wishing residents a joyful celebration, the OYOWMA Chairman also used the opportunity to issue a vital reminder regarding environmental sanitation.
He stressed that cleanliness is an integral part of faith in Islam and urged citizens to celebrate with a high sense of environmental responsibility.
The management and staff also appreciate Governor Seyi Makinde for supporting the Oyo State waste management authority.
He said “The governor has bought two new waste compactors for our work to be efficient and effective, we want to use this medium to reiterate our support for the government and people of Oyo state to contribute our quota to the development and beautification of oyo state.
