One person has been feared dead while 21 people sustained injuries in an accident that occurred on the Ogun state axis of the Lagos Ibadan expressway.
The accident which occurred around 25 minutes to six Monday morning involved a luxury bus and a truck with no registration number on both vehicles.
The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Public Education Officer in Ogun state, Mrs Florence Okpe who confirmed the crash in a statement in Abeokuta said 18 other people escaped unhurt.
Mrs Okpe blamed the crash on excessive speed and mechanical deficiency.
She explained that the truck driver rammed into the stationed bus and killed the driver of the bus who was under the bus trying to rectify some issues discovered from the vehicle.
Mrs Okpe said the injured victims had been taken to a private Hospital in Mowe for medical attention while the corpse was also deposited at the morgue of the same hospital
