Disconnect Between Electorate And Elected Responsible For Poor Representation – Oyo South Accord Candidate, Kola-Daisi

A leading contender in the 2023 Senatorial race in Oyo south Senatorial district, under the platform of Accord, Chief Kolapo Kola-Daisi has Identified lack of sustained interaction between the electorate and the elected after elections as a major factor responsible for the lack of performance

Kolapo Kola-Daisi gave the hint while interacting with electorate ahead of the national assembly election slated for February 25th.

The young professional and grassroots politician believed that such gap in relationship between the followers and the led can be connected to the level of underdevelopment currently being experienced at the Grassroots.

Kolapo Kola-Daisi, son of an Ibadan-born Business mogul, Chief Kola-Daisi, promised to change the narrative with a goal of restoring town hall meetings and engaging with every community and their leaders on a regular and consistent basis.

He said “I’m mostly surprised by some of the things I hear from our people during my interactions with them, most notable of which is the disconnect between them and the persons they vote to represent them.”

“I am now convinced that this disconnect, this lack of sustained relationship/interaction between the electorate and the elected after elections, is one top cause for the lack of performance shown.” He explained

KKD further noted that “However, I am glad that we are already taking steps to correct this, with a goal of restoring town hall meetings and engaging with every community and their leaders on a regular and consistent basis. Fortunately, we already demonstrate this with our campaign style, which focuses on the people, listens to what they truly want, and always shows a willingness to “DÁSI” on the spot.”
