Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has charged the relevant security agencies to ensure that perpetrators of the recent arson and wanton destruction of public property in Sagamu area of the state are arrested and prosecuted.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the assessment tour of the affected areas, Governor Abiodun described the level of destruction as shocking and unfortunate.
Governor Abiodun who also commended the security agents for responding swiftly to the mayhem, maintained that anyone fomenting trouble would be dealt with and made to face the wrath of the law.
He appealed to the people of the town to remain calm in the face of provocation, while promising that his administration would not hesitate to support those affected by the mayhem.
The Governor urged people of the state to go about their normal businesses peacefully, giving the assurance that law enforcement agencies would provide adequate security.
