Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Faleye S. Olaleye says he has ordered discreet and thorough investigation of the incident surrounding the circumstances behind the alledged assault of a police woman in the command.
Olaleye in a statement on the twitter page of the osun state police command, said the investigation is to unravel the circumstances that led to this unethical behaviours.
The statement reads in part:
“The Osun State Police Commissioner of Police, CP Faleye S. Olaleye, psc, wishes to inform the general public tha
t the Command is aware of the video of a woman Police Inspector, Olorunsogo Bamidele allegedlyassaulted by her DCO ASP Ajayi Mathew in Ode Omu division in the State, trending on social media”.
“The CP in his Swift intervention, has interviewed the Police Officers (parties) involved in this unprofessional act and consequently ordered discreet/thorough investigation of theincident to unravel the circumstances that led to this unethical behaviours”
“Therefore, the CP is assuring the general public that justice will prevail on the matter”.
Recall that a video of a police woman went viral over the internet accusing a colleague of assault while on duty at a police station in Ode Omu, Osun state.
