Cholera Outbreak: Oyo NAWOJ Takes Campaign To Markets In Ibadan

The Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists, Oyo State Council, NAWOJ, has called on market women to ensure a clean environment and to practice good personal hygiene to avert the crisis of cholera outbreak.

Chairperson, NAWOJ, Oyo state council, Mrs Omolola Alamu stated this during a sensitization campaign to some markets in Ibadan on Cholera prevention awareness.

Alamu noted that the campaign was to sensitize market women on issues surrounding cholera outbreak and how to manage the disease if eventually they contracted it.

She said the association deemed it fit to lend their voices in the campaign against cholera outbreak in the state.

The NAWOJ chairperson however called on all and Sundry to take proactive steps against the menace of cholera to reduce the scourge.

Markets visited were Aleshinloye food market, Dugbe market and it’s environs.
