According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, 87,209,007 Permanent Voter IDs have been collected nationwide.
Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of INEC, made the announcement on Thursday at a press conference held at the national collation center in Abuja.
He said the number increased after the Commission extended the deadline from January 29 to February 5.
