Oyo state INEC collation returning officer who is the vice chancellor, University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun state Professor Olusola Kehinde has announced the results of the presidential election conducted on Saturday in the state.
Professor Kehinde disclosed that the All Progressives Congress, APC polled 449,884 votes to defeat it’s closest rival the People’s Democratic Party, PDP which garnered 182,977 while labour party scored 99,110 votes in Oyo state
Professor Kehinde appreciated stakeholders for the peaceful conduct of the election which had Eighteen political parties who contested for the presidential seat.
Reacting, representative of the PDP in the state Dr Nureni Adeniran and his APC counterpart Alhaji Olanite expressed satisfaction in the conduct of the process.
Total number of valid vote stands at 809,485, rejected votes at 42,471 and total votes cast at 851,956.
