Birthday: Dr Peter Ogundeji Provides Free Eye-Care Outreach For Residents  ‎

‎No fewer than 4,000 people have benefited from free eye-care services organised as part of activities marking the 40th birthday celebration of philanthropist and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Osun State, Chief (Dr.) Peter Taiwo Ogundeji.

‎About 4,000 residents received medical attention across centres located in Ede, Iwo, Ejigbo and Ikire, all within the Osun West Senatorial District, with each centre attending to roughly 1,000 beneficiaries.

‎Thousands of APC members and beneficiaries trooped out to receive Dr Peter Ogundeji with songs and praises at the designated venues, expressing gratitude for his kindness and longstanding commitment to humanitarian service.

‎Addressing beneficiaries in each centre, Dr Ogundeji explained that he embarked on the initiative as a way of giving back to society. He emphasised the importance of prioritising personal health, noting that poor health remains a major obstacle to economic progress and overall well-being.

‎The celebrant added that the outreach stemmed from his passion for improving the lives of people—especially those who lack the financial capacity to address their health challenges.

‎One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Christiana Adeyeye, expressed delight after receiving free reading glasses from the medical team. She said the glasses would greatly assist her daily activities and appreciated the celebrant for making them accessible at no cost.

‎Another beneficiary, Pa Fatai Gbadamosi, said he was scheduled for free cataract surgery at the State Hospital, Asubiaro, Osogbo, after undergoing an eye examination during the outreach.
