Ondo State House of Assembly has screened and confirmed the nomination of Dr Olayide Adelami as deputy -governor designate of the state.
Submitting the report of the screening at the plenary presided over by the Speaker, Mr Olamide Oladiji, the deputy speaker, Prince Abayomi Akinruntan said Dr Adelami was found to be a man of reputable character, well exposed, physically and mentally fit for the position.
The house after the report then confirmed Dr Adelami to be deputy- governor designate.
Reacting, Dr adelami thanked governor Lucky Ayedatiwa for giving him the opportunity to serve.
He said his appointment was a call to duty and promised to work for the development of Ondo state and promote harmonious relationship between the executive and the legislature.
In a remark, The speaker, Mr Olamide Oladiji said with the confirmation of Dr Adelami, the stage was set for rapid development .
