Asigangan Of Igangan Installs New Alakoya Of Akoya.

The Asigangan of Igangan land, Oba Rafiu Adeniyi Olaniyi Ariwoola (Aako 11) on Friday 24th January, 2025 installed new Alakoya of Akoya, Chief Suraju Oladeji Jimoh.

In his keynote address, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa North Local Government, Hon. Lateef Adebare Lawal Akorede expressed confidence that under the reign of the new Alakoya of Akoya, the area would flourish and his people would thrive more than previously.

Hon. Akorede, who was represented by the council vice Chairman, Hon. Bisi Akande recognized the critical role traditional leadership played in maintaining the social fabrics, promoting peace and providing guidance to the people.

He noted that the government would continue to support, collaborate and work hand in hand with the new Alakoya of Akoya for the progress of the area.

The council boss appealed to the new Alakoya of Akoya, Chief Suraju Oladeji Jimoh, as a custodian of culture to prioritize the welfare of people and make security of the area paramount and should play a father figure roles at all times.

He Congratulated Alakoya of Akoya on his well developed installation and prayed that his reign would be long, successful and full of positive achievements for Akoya Land and its people.

While decorating the Alakoya of Akoya with Akoko leaves, the Asigangan of Igangan, Oba Rafiu Adeniyi Olaniyi Ariwoola advised him to see his installation as a call to serve.

The paramount traditional ruler stressed that the new community leader should work tirelessly for the progress, peace and unity of Akoya Land.

In his acceptance speech, the Alakoya of Akoya Land, Chief Surajudeen Oladeji Jimoh appreciated God for making the day reality.

Chief Jimoh promised to justify the confidence people reposed in him by bringing unprecedented development to Akoya Land.

He thanked the Asigangan of Igangan, all Obas, Chiefs and well wishers for the love showed him during the installation.
