Ademola Adeleke, the executive governor of Osun state, performed the Jumat Prayer for the first time as the state’s governor on Friday at Osogbo central mosque, to the admiration of all.
Governor Adeleke addressed the congregation and explained that this was in fulfillment of his promise that, should he win the election and be sworn in, he would observe the first Jumat Prayer in the mosque in appreciation of the spiritual and political support.
Governor Adeleke praised Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, the Ataoja of Osogboland, for his unwavering support, which almost caused him to oppose the previous administration.
