Accord Party Senatorial Candidate, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, Commiserates With Bodija Market Fire Victims • Pledges Support
Oyo south senatorial candidate under the platform of the Accord Party, Mr. Kolapo Kola-Daisi has condoled with the victims of the Bodija Market fire that occurred in the early hours of Monday.
Kolapo Kola Diasi In a message made available to newsarena.ng expressed sadness over the sudden loss of livelihood for the victims, and pledged his support to provide relief to all parties affected by the inferno.
He said “My sincere sympathy goes out at this moment to the victims of the fire outbreak that wrecked havoc at the Bodija Market. It is quite saddnening, and I can’t possibly imagine the extent of sorrow the men and women who make a honest living in this market must feel waking up to a news of the loss of the sources of livelihood. I deeply commiserate with them”
He further explained that “I am currently leading my team in an assessment of the situation as we are prepared to offer support and relief to all parties affected, all in the hope to get them back on their feet as soon as possible. We have made enquiries and we shall stay in touch”
Kola-Daisi also advised residents of the state to always put safety measures in place to prevent fire outbreaks.
The accord party candidate added that “the state fire service should instill a system that supports a prompter response time in cases of an outbreak like this.”
