Abduction: NDC Kajola Constituency Candidate, Engr. Tolulope Olukokun, Expresses Grief Over Continuous Stay Of Victims In Kidnappers’ Den
Following the heartbreaking mass abduction of students and teachers from communities in Oyo State, Engineer Tolulope Olukokun, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for the Kajola State Constituency for Oyo State House of Assembly, has strongly condemned the attack.

He, however appealed for the immediate and unconditional release of all the victims.

The harrowing incident, which occurred in May 2026, targeted schools in the Ahoro-Esiele area of Oriire Local Government Area.

In a statement released to journalists on Tuesday, Engr. Olukokun expressed profound grief over the continuous stay of the victims with the kidnappers, particularly laments the tragic killing of one of the school teachers while in captivity.
He extended his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and the affected communities.
“No child should ever have to trade the safety of a classroom for the trauma of a dense forest, and no parent should endure this unbearable agony,” Olukokun stated.
“The abduction of innocent children and their educators is an assault on our collective future and a heavy blow to the education sector in Oyo State.”
The renowned Electric Vehicle and tech innovator urged both the federal and state governments to maximize their efforts.
